We’ve got a lot of good restaurants out here and some not so good. I don’t talk about the really bad ones, but the following restaurants I think are the best because when we go back, time after time, they always deliver! No ups and downs. They are consistently good! These are in no particular order. They’re just popping into my head randomly with the help of my picture library. Click on the restaurant name to go to their website. Here we go!
Blossom and Brie
So first off, I’d like to mention Blossom and Brie. Its a new farm to table restaurant. Its actually been around for a while under a different name, but there are new owners and they are kicking it up a notch (do I have to pay royalties for that?). Anyway, they have the best Prime Rib I’ve had here in southwest Florida since I’ve been here almost 4 years! Their Eggs Benedict at Brunch on Saturdays and Sundays is also the best I’ve had while here in Florida. You don’t get free bread service, but be sure to get the Sourdough Bread from the appetizer list. Its good! The dining room is a big screened in roof with lots of ceiling fans. You’ll be able to see some farm animals wandering around from your table. When you’re done eating, be sure to walk around the farm for a closer look at the animals and the gardens. Great for the kids!

DaRuMa Japanese Steak House and Sushi
I’m just starting to get into sushi, so I’m no expert, but the people we go with are and they love this place! The first time we went there we did the hibachi table thing where everyone sits around a big hot plate table and the chefs puts on a show cutting and tossing around the food and setting some of eat on fire. Very entertaining! The next few times we went and sat at regular tables and then the sushi bar. Everything was delicious! And with beautiful presentations of course!

Cooper’s Hawk Winery Ft Myers
We’ve been here a bunch of times and have never had a bad meal, appetizer or drink. They have a full bar, not just wine! We actually joined the club, but we couldn’t keep up with all the wine we were getting, so cancelled our membership in that. We still go back for a good meal and I love their chocolate truffles with matching wine for dessert!

Tommy Bahamas Marlin Bar in Coconut Mall
I don’t shop here for clothes (I don’t think anything would fit me), but this location has a great outdoor cafe that has the best Coconut Shrimp, Beef Sliders and Frozen Mai Tai’s that are dangerous! Again, they are consistently good! Sometimes there’s live music. But again, its outdoors and every table has an umbrella, but it can still get plenty hot here in Florida!

3 City Pizzeria
This is the best pizza we’ve run into here in southwest Florida. If you like New York style, they got it. If you like Detroit style, they got it. If you like Chicago deep dish or thin crust, they got it! One time, I had a Chicago Hot Dog as an appetizer! Excellent, all the orignal stuff!

Hogbody's Bar and Grill
I’ve only been here once, but it was darn good! I had a mixed platter with ribs, shrimp and wings and everything was great! Its been around for a long time and has a big following so you might have to wait during peak hours. But its worth it!
Honorable Mentions
I like the Forrey Grill in LaBelle. I’ve been getting their cheeseburger lately and I upgrade to get the salad bar as my side. You don’t see salad bars that much anymore, but this one is nice and everything is fresh. Other people I’ve been with get the Italian food like Spaghetti and Meatballs and Lasagna. They offer a bread starter that is absolutely soak in garlic butter. Its very messy with the butter dripping down your hands, but its so good!
I also like Buckingham Farms. If we go for breakfast I seem to always get the Eggs Benedict. And if we go for lunch, I seem to always get the Chef Salad.
Izzy’s Fish & Oyster in downtown Ft Myers is always good! Fish and chips for me!
We also like Ember Steakhouse. Its Korean and you can sit at tables where there’s a hot plate in the middle and you cook your own food. They will help you if you don’t want to cook. You also get a lot of sides. Kind of fun. Don’t drink too much Soju!
Good luck everyone. If your favorite restaurant in the Ft Myers area is not on the list be sure to leave me a comment. Always looking for new places to go to!
